ChickenTinder ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our restaurant matching application available at restaurantmatcher.com (the "App").

When you sign in to ChickenTinder using Google Sign-In, we collect the following information from your Google account:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your Google profile picture
• A unique Google account identifier

When you use the App, we also collect:

• Your approximate location (latitude and longitude) when you choose to use location-based restaurant search
• Your app preferences (time format, date format, default search radius)
• Push notification subscription data if you enable notifications
• Your restaurant swipe history within an active session

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to provide and improve the ChickenTinder service:

• To authenticate your identity and maintain your account
• To allow you to link with a partner and participate in restaurant matching sessions
• To search for nearby restaurants using the Google Places API based on your location
• To send push notifications about session activity and restaurant matches
• To save your preferences so the app works the way you like

We do not use your information for advertising, marketing, or any purpose beyond operating the App.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We share limited information only in the following circumstances:

• Google Places API: Your approximate location is sent to Google's Places API to retrieve nearby restaurant results. This is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Your linked partner: Your name and profile picture are visible to the partner you choose to link with inside the App.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on a secured server hosted on Google Cloud Platform. We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Restaurant search results are cached for up to 30 days to improve performance and reduce unnecessary data requests.

5. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access: You can view your account information within the App
• Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at [email protected]
• Partner unlinking: You can unlink your partner at any time through the Settings menu
• Notifications: You can disable push notifications at any time through the Settings menu or your device settings
• Location: You can choose not to share your location and enter a location manually instead

6. Children's Privacy

ChickenTinder is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately at [email protected].

7. Third-Party Services

ChickenTinder uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Google Sign-In — for authentication
• Google Places API — for restaurant data
• Google Cloud Platform — for server hosting
• Cloudflare — for security and content delivery

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
